11月になり、晴れ着姿の子供をちらほら見かけるようになりました(^^)/
七五三は3歳、5歳、7歳の子どもの成長を祝って参拝する行事ですよね。
男の子は5歳、女の子は3歳と7歳とするのが一般的ですが、
地域によっては男の子を3歳と5歳のときに祝うところもあるそうですよ！

なぜ今日が七五三と言われるようになったのかは所説ありまして、
5代将軍徳川綱吉の子息、徳松が3歳を迎えた年の11月15日に成長を祝ったから、
11月15日が旧暦の吉日にあたるからなどと言われています。
私は今日まで七五三に正式な日が決まっているとは知りませんでした(^^;
また、昔は大人になるまで成長できなかった子どもが多かったため、
縁起のよい数と重なる3歳、5歳、7歳の節目に、子どもの成長を祝う行事をしたようです。
男の子は袴を、女の子は振袖というイメージがありますが、
服装は決まっているわけではないのでフォーマルなスーツやワンピースなどで参拝してもいいそうですよ！
服装は変わっても昔から変わらないのが『千歳飴』です。
立派な袋に入った長い飴がとても嬉しかったのを覚えています(^^)/

七五三の行事食は千歳飴のみで、江戸時代の初め頃が起源と言われています。
長い棒状の紅白の飴は直径15mm以内、長さ1m以内と決められていて
袋には鶴や亀、松竹梅などのおめでたい絵柄が描かれています！
千歳飴は、1000歳の飴と描きます。
かつては「千年飴（せんねんあめ）」や「寿命飴」とも呼ばれていました。
1000歳まで生きることは難しいけれど、それぐらい元気に長生きできますようにという意味が込められているんですね。
甘くて珍しいので最初は喜んで食べれるのですが
長いので１本食べきることでさえ結構大変ですよね！
味が単調なのですぐに飽きてしまいますし、なめているうちに先が尖ってきて食べづらくなってしまいます。
縁起物なのに折ったり切ったりするのはどうかなとも思いますが、
恵方巻きのように『切らずに食べきる』ことが主旨ではなく、
健康や長寿を祈りながらいただくことが目的ですから、
食べやすく切って皆で分け合って食べるのがいいのではないでしょうか。
また、細かく砕いてお砂糖代わりに料理に使うこともできますよ。
食べすぎや虫歯に気を付けながら長寿を願って食べたいですね！
私も久しぶりに食べたくなりました！！
スーパーなどでも手に入るので懐かしい気持ちに浸りながら食べるのもいいですね！！

It's difficult to live up to 1000 years old, but it means that you can live that long and well. It's sweet and rare, so I'm happy to eat it at first, but it's long, so it's quite difficult to eat one!
I doubt think it's a good idea to fold or cut it even though it's a lucky charm, but it's not the purpose of "eating without cutting" like Ehomaki.
Since the purpose is to pray for health and longevity, it would be better to cut it into pieces that are easy to eat and share them with everyone.
You can also crush it into small pieces and use it for cooking instead of sugar. I want to eat longevity while being careful of overeating and tooth decay! I also wanted to eat it after a long time! !! You can get it at supermarkets, so it's good to eat while feeling nostalgic! !! see you.
